With only 2 matches left in the Winter League Campaign Kilspindie find themselves in a three way battle with North Berwick and Winterfield for the two promotion places. At present  we’re currently sitting third, a point behind Winterfield and two points adrift of leaders North Berwick. This probably means we won’t be able to win the league but with North Berwick facing Winterfield in the next match, something has to give between them which “could” open the door for us should we win our next match away to Thorntree. This would leave a final day shoot out with two from three going up when we travel to The Glen in what is a must win game. So basically our promotion chances sit firmly in our own hands. Should results go to plan and there is a tie in points at the top at the end, shot difference will come into play and we’re currently sitting strong in that department with a shot difference of +24, in comparison to the others on +16 and +15.

Basically two wins should see us promoted with both remaining league matches against sides we’ve beaten already this season , albeit they were both home games.

In the Cup Competition, we’ve managed to defeat both Winterfield and Longniddry 3-2 in two very tight games. Our Quarter Final win over Longniddry being sealed with victories on both the 19th and 21st holes. The latest victory sees us through to the semi final where we’ll face current holders Gullane at home for a place in the Final. A tough match, as they’ve won the Cup for the last three years, but we’re certainly up for the challenge and will give it our best to topple them.

Yet again, a very big thank you to everyone who has represented the Club this season. That’s us played 14 games so far and still have a minimum of 3 more to play, so we really appreciate the effort and commitment put in by everyone involved with the team.
