The season is coming to an end and what a year Kilspindie Juniors have experienced in the East Lothian Junior Golf League, the team managed to finish in 3rd place this year just missing out on the regional finals however given the average age of the squad is 14 hopefully we maintain the momentum over the past couple of years (7th in 2018) and go one (or two) better in 2020.

The squad of 2019 was Molly Nicholson, Freya Constable, James Wood, Callum Kenneally, Jake Johnston, Rory McClafferty, Blair Roberts, Sean Roberts, Findlay King, Mackenzie Notley and Josh Beveridge.

The East Lothian Junior Strokeplay Championships played at The Glen, Kilspindie were again challenging for honours :-

Neil Canavan was 2nd in the Scratch U18’s , Connor Currie won the Scratch U16s, Callum Kenneally won the Scratch U14s & Blair Roberts won the U12’s Stableford, fantastic achievement by the boys and very well done.

The season however isn’t finished just yet and this weekend (2/11/19) Kilspindie play Longniddry in the final of the East Lothian Junior County Cup which is being played at Kilspindie, fingers crossed the guys can end the season on a high…..

Hopefully you’ll all agree that Kilspindie Golf Club Junior section is in a good place and has a lot of talented individuals, the names mentioned above are only a few of the rising stars we have in the club.

If anyone wants to get involved with the Junior section in 2020 please do not hesitate to get in touch with the General Manager.
